ABOUT CHRIS

CS1.jpg

Chris Szczypala is a New Jersey–based camera operator and photographer with a passion for capturing motion and storytelling through visuals. His journey began in high school, where a photography class quickly turned into a creative calling. Immersed in the world of action sports and motorsports alongside close friends, Chris was never without his camera, documenting moments and honing the skills that would shape his career.

Chris went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Production from William Paterson University. While in college, he joined the marketing team at Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, NJ, working as a creative producer. There, he developed a wide range of campaigns spanning print, broadcast commercials, and digital media, creating content for the resort’s ski slopes, waterpark, bike park, lodging, and restaurants.

In 2016, Chris became Media Coordinator for Monticello Motor Club, a 4.1-mile private racetrack in New York’s Catskills. His role expanded over the years, and in 2021 he was named Creative Director, overseeing all aspects of the club’s creative output, from website and social media to CRM, app, branded content, and even live-streaming.

Beyond Monticello, Chris has served as Director of Photography for the web series RADVentures presented by Hagerty, and worked as a camera operator on MotorTrend TV’s Hot Rod Garage. His work has also been featured in Autoweek’s “Under 30 Edition,” where he shot both the cover and feature story.
